Tracing your Yorkshire Ancestors on the Internet...a Guide for Family Historians.
The new book from local, family and industrial history author, Rachel Bellerby, should be a welcome addition to the bookshelf of anyone involved in the research of their Yorkshire ancestors.
The many sources and resources that are now available to enable genealogical research using the Internet has reached staggering proportions. Individual researchers, be they professional or hobbyist, find it difficult to keep up with the ever growing flow of websites coming online.
Even on a county level, and of course Yorkshire is by far the largest county in England, the number of websites currently available to assist in family history research is quite amazing. And yet, there are always those websites that lurk just under the radar and pass you by. This new book comes complete with links to many of the better known, and importantly, many of the less well known websites. However, the book goes far beyond being just a simple list of useful websites, readers will find that it is populated with many useful tips about using the many services, indexes and databases described therein.
